Is the American Dream Dead?

Well, that’s what Pravda would tell you and I am sure there are American citizens that feel the same. But is it really dead?

Is the American dream really over? Not.

Is the American dream really over? Not.

Sorry to be off topic today – but no, it is not dead. Maybe you think I am in denial? I don’t think so. There is still more opportunities available in the USA than anywhere in the world. What? You don’t believe it?

Let’s take a look.

Last time I checked people still have jobs. Yes, some people have been released from their jobs in one way or another, but that is what happens when sales are down and/or they do a piss poor job anyway. It’s a way of trimming the fat to maximize income.

New businesses are popping up every day. Now is an excellent time to be an entrepreneur and find your own way. My wife and I have done this in the past and were very successful at it.

Of course this is not the first time the USA has been in trouble financially. Remember the stock market crash in 1987. And what about the financial crises after 9/11?

Yes, this too shall pass and the American dream will be popular once again. So cheer up!

The American dream is alive and well.

The American dream is alive and well.

By 2019 all the taxes collected from the people won’t even pay for the interest on The National Debt! 2019 is being optimistic. That is providing there is no major middle east crisis that would force the United States to react! Like war between Israel and Iran. Not to mention Natural Disasters. I guess America is suppose to some how magically come up with money to pay its bills and runs its country? Oh I know lets invade a country that hasn’t attacked us and steal their oil, sell it and get more money. Oh Ya, that idea was already tried and hasn’t worked yet.

I did a whole social studies project on the American Dream, and it seems to me that the American Dream, is nor dead, over, lost, or MIA. The American Dream has simply changed over time, just as all things do, and other than what other people think the American Dream will NOT just be handed to you. You have to pursue it, try for, be willing to take risks or make sacrifices. It doesn’t matter what hasn’t worked, it only matters what will.
