It’s a Small Small World

Yes it is. Have you ever run into someone you knew when you were younger? Or maybe came across an old friend in the internet? Life is strange this way sometimes.

Recently, while visiting with some friends of ours and their other guests, this exact thing happened. We were having dinner and just through conversation I learned that I went to high school with one of the people we were eating with. It was a big shock as I didn’t recognize her. But she mentioned her maiden name, and I knew her name. She was not sure of me, but she too was completely shocked that we went to the same high school, were in the same class and graduated the same year.

Another strange thing happened not too long ago. I received an email from a Russian woman who had found a picture of her family in my blog here. She was astounded, but seemed ok with it. They did a search on Russian toasts and Red October came up in the search. Imagine the surprise to find their family photo on my web site!
