Why Marry a Russian?

Why Russian and not American? Well, I think there are many reasons an American man might want to marry a Russian woman, but everyone has there own reasons. Let’s look at some of the more popular ones that I have come across.

Russian Women

Beauty - Russia is known for their beautiful woman.
Education - Russian woman are typically very well educated and smart.
Classy - Russian woman are classy and down to earth.
Faithful - Russian woman are known to be very faithful to their men.
Loving - A Russian woman will love you based upon you, not your looks or money.

I could probably sit here and think of dozens of reasons, but I think these are some of the most popular ones. Are they good reasons? Absolutely. Can you find an American woman with these qualities? Absolutely. I don’t think you could say these reasons are stereotypical. People are people. Some are good, some are not so good.

Then we are back to the original question, why marry a Russian? This is something you will need to investigate for yourself. You will spend a bare minimum of $3000 taking a trip to Russia. If you go through an agency, it could be as much as $10,000, although they will take care of everything.

When I started talking with my wife, I never had any intentions of going to Russia, or falling in love, or getting married to any Russian woman. So there you have it. But the more we talked, emailed and IM’d, the more I realized what kind of wonderful woman I had met and I had to at least go and meet her. I looked at it as an adventure. I had never left the USA before or really done anything remotely close to something of this level. Russia is a neat place to visit even if you don’t find the woman of your dreams (I think this is nearly impossible). To have grown up during the cold war, this was highly appealing to me just to be a tourist. Everywhere you go, you will find remnants of the former Soviet Union and most people are very friendly and eager to meet Americans.
