Russian TV

As an American man, I’d have to say that Russian TV is refreshing, well the commercials are anyway. During my last trip to Russia, I sat down and watched some TV. It wasn’t really by choice, but Lena’s parents seemed to have it on almost all of the time. Of course I could not understand anything they were saying, but nevertheless, it was interesting. Something I noticed was that the commercials are a bit more revealing than you will ever see in the USA. Smut standards here in the USA make’s Americans look like we are very uptight about sex and the human body. The religious right wing has their hands around the neck of television broadcasters threatening to choke the life out of them, so you will never see a woman’s breast on American TV. In Russia I did. Not just once but many many times. Russians have a totally different attitude about erotica, the body and sex. Trust me, it’s all good. Russian women like short skirts and revealing shirts and in general, just looking sexy and fashionable. It makes for an enjoyable sightseeing trip. No, not every Russian woman walks around with see through shirts and a short skirt. But unlike the USA, it is not unusual to see something of this nature. American women are too uptight and would never think of dressing like this. Someone might see them.

I also watched what was the most popular TV show in the word, Baywatch. I think they’ve fallen off the top since then, but it was interesting to catch an American show in Russia.
